With the above in mind, today I want to focus of blog, how to install the Graphics Card in a  PC. Firstly ,the Graphics Card provides the Visual function of processing and outputting visuals to your monitor. Some motherboards include Graphics Card chips built onto them but dedicated Graphics Processing Unit offer hugely superior performance and save the CPU form having to handle Graphics in addition to other tasks. Every new computer comes with a Graphics Card.

What is a Graphics Card ?
A  graphics card  is a device installed in a computer that consists of a graphics processing unit designed to help process and display images, especially 3D graphics. Graphics cards help take the processing strain off the main processor, and can contain their own memory to take the strain off the system RAM.
 
You have to make sure the new Graphics Card's   is supported by your computer system. And then what  kind of  Hard drive you can use  for your new Graphic Card installation in your computer. Also, you can uninstall the old graphic card to put a new .If you don't have any money, the first advice, it is to download some free antivirus software to protect your computer from any damage.

This is an example for a Graphics card.

You can unplug all wires connected to the tower and if there is a power switch on the back switch off it before you install on your Graphics Card.  Take out the screws on the back of the tower and then , take out the panel. After that you will see the motherboard, because you have to  switch off the power to your system before opening the case. This motherboard you have to take out and to fix Graphics Card. But you need to uninstall the drivers first.

Which Hardware you need in your computer ?

Installing computer hardware may seem to be a difficult task but  the steps given later, would help you to successfully do it. Once you know what to do it will be very easy to do.
Before you start ,you have to unplug all wires connected to the tower and if there is a power switch on the back switch it off.

Before installing the New Graphics card software, uninstall first the old Graphics card driver .
Depending on the Operating system you are using, if it's a Windows 7, proceed like this:

  • In your Home Screen, click on Start button.
  • write Device Manager in the search bar.
  • Select Device Manager from the dialogue box.
  • When the device Manager setting page appears, select the file containing the old Graphics Card driver software then click Ok and follow the instructions to uninstall the old program.
Now your old Graphics Card driver software is uninstalled.

 For the second part of the installation, below are the five hardware you will need to start with your Graphics Card installation.


a-You have to make sure you put your Rubber mat before you start to open the computer.


b-You  need the screw driver to take out the panel on the back of the tower.




c-you have to use an anti-static strap whenever working on the inside of your computer to reduce the chance of damage to your computer due to static electricity.
 


d- Which software you need in your Computer  Graphics Card installation .
This is one piece of software you needed in your computer. You can get it in some shops like Amazon , Pc world or you can downloading on Internet like ( you can buy or get free) as shown in the picture below.

e- You need a new Graphics Card  as shown in the picture below.

 

How to install a Graphics Card in your computer ?



Follow the steps below, to start the process of installing your Graphics Card


1-Turn off your computer


You have to disconnect the power cord from the back or unplug it from the outlet it's connected to.

2-Open the computer case

You have to wear an anti-static strap whenever working on the inside of your computer. This will prevent you from getting an electric shock and from damaging the electronics in your computer by giving it an electric shock. and then ,you have to place your computer on a rubber mat before you open your computer.

3-Before installing the New Graphics Card, locate the old one and remove it from the motherboard.

NB: If you are replacing a graphics card, you'll need to remove a small screw attached to the back plate prior to taking out the card. If the card has an extra power cable attached, carefully unplug this. The 6-pin PCI-express power connectors have a small catch that you will need to press down on to release them.
 
 



4- Now determine what kind of expansion slot your computer has

After determining the type of slot it contains, you can choose which Graphics Card will fit your System

5-Push the new graphics card into the slot




























Once the card is in the correct position ,push firmly down on it until the slot catch clicks into place. Check that it's properly seated ;it should be able to wiggle from side to side but not lift at the back.
Be sure to insert the appropriate power cables from your power supply if your video card requires it.

6- The new Graphics Card is installed

Carefully and gently push the new graphics card into the slot. Make sure that the lower part of the bracket slips between the back of the case and the motherboard and doesn't get caught.



7-Replace  the screw in the back plate as shown in the picture below.



8-Closing the computer case cover as shown below.

If you are installing in Windows Vista or Windows 7 it should automatically detect the presence of the card and install the new driver for you. If you have a driver CD, insert that and it will start automatically. Just follow the prompts to install. Also, you can check  the drivers off the manufacturer's website for more up-to-date drivers, which you can download and install.
Now you can restart your computer. The driver will lets your know if your computer recognize and work with the new graphics card.
